The Singapore Port Authority has scheduled a restriction for all vessels on transiting, anchoring, or staying in the designated area of the Eastern Anchorage from 15:30 to 23:00 local time on August 9.

The delineated zone is outlined by the following coordinates in accordance with Port Maritime Notice No. 70 issued by the Singapore Port Authority in 2024 (WGS 84 datum):

3) 01° 14.500'N/103°52.500'E

Vessels now anchored in the specified area are required to relocate to the alternate anchorage by 00:01 on August 9, as directed by the port master.

Due to Hurricane Debbie, Savannah Port on the US East Coast will be closed on August 5 and 6, reopening on August 7. By Friday, heavy rainfall will pose a threat to the eastern half of South Carolina and southeastern North Carolina.

Port Waratah Coal Services (PWCS) reported that the average vessel turnaround time in June was 7.61 days, the highest level in 22 months. In July, this time shortened to 7.38 days. However, the large coal exports have led to an increase in the number of vessels waiting outside Newcastle Port.
